John Banks has saved the lives of billions by preparing the world for the fall of humanity in the shadows. But that means, out there in the wastelands are billions who need help as they rebuild the world.

He no longer has a time machine to help guide his actions. Just a good horse, some friends, and the help of a community of wizards that live above the Arctic Circle.
